Halloween 2010

Trick or treating
Well today was Calleigh's second Halloween experience.  Her first wasn't that exciting, we didn't go trick or treating and didn't dress her up.  BUT, this year, we went all out.  Calleigh dressed up as a little ladybug, she was so darn cute.  We went over to my mom and dad's house, they have so much more going on in there neighborhood then ours.  We had a nice pot-luck dinner with mom, Nancy (mom's neighbor), Barb, and Jerry (my in-laws) and of course us.  We sat out front with our dinner, and gave out candy to all the trick or treaters.

Eating her candy
Andy and I took Calleigh around the neighborhood, to go trick or treating.  She was so cute, holding her bag open for the neighbors to put something in her bag.  As soon as they put the candy in her bag, Calleigh immediately wanted to eat it.  She figured out REALLY quickly that if she walked up to a house and held out her bag she was going to get some candy.  I think Calleigh has a sweet tooth just like her mom.

The end result!!!
By the end of the night, I think Calleigh was on a major sugar high, and crashed as soon as we got home.  I think her second Halloween was a lot of fun, and we look forward to many more in the future.

To the Zoo we go!!

On Tuesday, we went to the zoo.  We met my girlfriend Amanda and her three adorable kids, Kyler, Kaiden, and Audrey at the zoo.  This was Calleigh's first trip to the zoo, she LOVED it.

Calleigh watching the giant tortoise
At every animal she would growl like a bear, or bark like a dog, it was so cute.  We will have to teach her the right sounds for all the different animals we saw.  At least she new they made a noise. Lol. She was all about walking around, and chasing the birds.  This made for a very busy momma, chasing her all around the park.  Thank goodness that she did want to sit in her stroller for a little bit, but mostly she just wanted to walk around. I think her favorite thing about the zoo was the train ride, she was quiet, and enjoyed the movement.  We saw so many wonderful animals. We had a fabulous time at the zoo, and will probably have to become a member, I see many more adventures there soon.

Thank you Amanda, Kyler, Kaiden and Audrey for inviting us to the zoo, we had a blast and hope to do it again soon.

Calleigh and Austin enjoying lunch
Well yesterday was mom's birthday!! She loves birthday's and well, who doesn't.  We celebrated with some lunch with Barb (mother-in-law), Jacque (sister-in-law), Austin (nephew), Calleigh, Justin, Katie (Justin's girlfriend) and of course me, we went to Boston's and had a really nice time.  They brought us some brownies to share, which was delicious of course.  Mom and I then went for a much needed pedicure.  We finished the night with some dinner at mom's neighbor's house.  It sure is nice to have great neighbors like them.  Overall, mom enjoyed her day, and she got to celebrate with the people she loves most.

Sneaky, Sneaky

I was in our bedroom, putting some clothes away when I hear some ruffling in the kitchen.  When I came out to see what is going on.  I find Calleigh sitting on the couch with a bag of Oreo cookies helping her self.  She had them all over her face.  This little girl sure loves her sweets.

It's Rainning, It's Pouring!!

Calleigh watching the rain!!

Yesterday, we had TONS of rain.  I opened our front door, so that we could let in the cool breeze of the rain.  After opening the door, I soon realized that Calleigh had never really seen rain before.  Well that she would remember anyways.  She sat at the door and watched the rain come done, it was so cute.  Later, Grandma came over, and took her outside to play in the puddles, she loved it!!!

Busy, busy week

Well this week was pretty busy, with my mom away, (man she does a lot when she is here) Calleigh and I had to balance our daily routine and a little work too.  Calleigh was very miserable this week, she was cutting a least three teeth that I can see, and fighting off a little cold too.  It was hard, when I had to drag her along to some appointments and skating lessons, but she was a trooper and tried to put on a happy face for everyone else.

On Friday, Calleigh and I got to look after my nephew Austin for a few hours.  Calleigh didn't really know what to do at first, but she soon realized that it was going to be okay and that she could help mom rock him to sleep.  We also went to visit my fellow teacher friends at my old school.  It was really nice to spend some time there and to show off, Calleigh and my nephew to everyone there.

We ended the week with a fantastic family dinner. Andy made some smoked brisket on the smoker, and I made some homemade bake beans,  baked potatoes, and corn muffins.  It was delicious, and it was nice to spend some time with the whole family.
